Interview
I would like to ask for help from those of you who have already gone through the interview. I’d like to ask that you share the questions you were asked, especially the ones you consider most important, and also how you answered them. I would also like to know whether anyone here was asked how they supported themselves financially before receiving work authorization, and what their answer was. If possible, let’s keep the comments only to those who have already had the interview. I believe this will help many people here feel more prepared.

@Bill : ) I had my interview on July 2025 and they asked me basic questions (yes, no questions) and all have you ever questions from I-485. Interview went smooth and I was not working for my employer back then and they asked me when have to called you to start working I replied they have called me after I get my Green Card and thats pretty much it. Good luck with your interview I would recommend to take a lawyer with you if possible.

@Bill : ) did you work for employer by the time you have interview? I will have interview in 2 weeks and I'm so nervous even thought my EAD still pending. What's your RFE asked about?
Bill : )Aug 31, 2026
@hopefully i will have gc Yes, I did. They just asked me for information about the company, pay stubs, and an explanation of why my wage is higher than what the DOL determined.

@Bill : ) how didyou respond on why your wage is higher than DOL determination? Please share.
Bill : )Sep 5, 2026
@A T The explanation regarding my wage increase was submitted, clarifying that the increases were gradual and based on my experience, responsibilities, performance, company growth, employee retention, and labor market conditions. Most importantly, my wages have always remained at or above the required prevailing wage, and the increase did not change the terms of my approved job opportunity or the company’s continued need for my position.
