My husband had to reschedule his Oath Ceremony, our attorney sent a letter asking to reschedule and 2 days before Oath ceremony, status changed to Oath Ceremony has been canceled

@Lisa, Congratulation for you and your husband. Did you guys get oath ceremony schedule with out filing writ mandamus ?

@Edy A, we were about to hire a lawyer, we had appointment with 3 different lawyers to see how to go about the lawsuit, at the end we decided to hire Jim Hacking because it was the cheapest attorney ( $4500.0) and we were about to sue, USCIS sent Oath ceremony scheduled, but my dumb ass husband had a traffic violation, nothing serious and he has court for February 3rd, so our attorney has to reschedule OATH ceremony because my husband can't have oath ceremony with tickets or citations or courts, after court decision ( if he is guilty my husband just has to pay ticket or if he is not guilty just bring disposition court papers and request to reschedule oath ceremony and bring disposition papers or receipt)

@Lisa can you not payoff the ticket and don’t have to go through court and delay or reschedule oath ceremony?

@u k I was thinking the same, but our attorney made a point, because my husband had a court and he plead Non guilty, the judge gave a second court. Our attorney saids even if my husband pay the ticket, some officers are super strict and we didn't want to bet in this one, so the strategy is fighting at court because my husband is non guilty and then request disposition papers proving he is not guilty and then reschedule oath ceremony.

@u k might sound a pain in the ass but our attorney saids if the officer is "super strict" with the discretion they have, they easily can denied citizenship and wait 5 years to reapply. We rather wait another couple of months than 5 years.

Lisa, when you say traffic violation, did your husband encounter with a police officer ? or it just red light camera or speeding camera?

@Edy A encounter with police officer, thank god my husband spoke to the officer and the same officer advised my husband plead non guilty and he promised we would help. it was a misunderstood, now officer seems to collaborate with my husband.
