interview not scheduled after a long time
Hello people, my processing date was March 4, 2021, although I filed in Brooklyn, NY, I moved to Queens, and changed my address in June. I have seen people in the same Queens office that filed in April get scheduled for interview, but here I am still waiting for interview. my question is to know if changing address delays interview scheduling, and if it does; how long more do I have to wait? Thank you.

I don't think changes in address changes anything. but it's still way early to be expecting an interview if your pd is march 4th.

@E no I stated folks with April PD are getting scheduled already in that same Long Island field office.

assuming youre talking 485 queens has a time range between 16 months to 38 months per USCIS so those people are likely an extreme exception.

Larry, do you have an update?

@Stacy O Thanks so much for checking up, the answer is still no. I still had a chat with a live person on Emma on Monday and he said it’s with NBC.
Stacey ODec 3, 2021
Questions - Since you moved to Queens, does your jurisdiction fall under Long Island or is it Queens NY? If it’s the latter, that could explain the delay as that field office is slow. Do you have confirmation that your address change has reflected on their system? Have you received mail from USCIS at your current address? I won’t be surprised that they are processing your case according to the Brooklyn office timeline.

I was told the address was changed, and the office falls under Long Island. you know they ask for address when you are trying to reach them, so the address they accept is the Queens one.
Stacey ODec 3, 2021
Okay. I just saw a may filer get scheduled so I checked in. Sincerely hoping you are scheduled soon. 🙏🏾

CHANGING ADDRESS DOES AFFECT YOUR CASE, BUT ONLY WHEN THE CHANGE IS FROM A COUNTY OR STATE. IF YOU MOVED WITHIN BROOKLYN ITS NOT AFFECTED BUT TO QUEENS YES

Happy New Year, Larry. Any update(s)?

LarryMark LanrayJan 6, 2022
@Stacey O Happy New year dear, honestly I haven’t heard anything, each time I chat with them on Emma, they give me the regular processing time texts. I am really getting tired, but I believe God.
Stacey OJan 6, 2022
Wow! Have you received your EAD?
L
LarryMark LanrayJan 6, 2022
I got that since June, 2021.
Stacey OJan 6, 2022
I was going to suggest expediting your EAD if not received yet. That might trigger a look at your AOS form but since you’ve already received it, it’s not a plausible suggestion. I don’t know what else to say. I’m quite shocked because our field office is one of the fastest in NY. Are you IOE or MSC-based?

Z K, you asked this question in November and he answered that he’s not a military spouse.

Hi Larry, Updates?
L

@Stacey O still no update unfortunately, although I was told in January my case is eligible for interview waiver, but the officer has to make the final decision. and that’s what I heard since then.
