Interview Next Month
Hi guys,
So my husband is a US citizen with a US passport. However, he was born in Europe and we don't have his birth certificate. Is his US passport enough to bring to the 485 interview? He became a US citizen 10 years ago. Our 130 was already approved back in April. I have my foreign birth certificate and foreign passport. Thanks!

that’s enough as proof his US passport and ssn and state ID same applies to you but add your birth certificate if you have them and the remain stays the same

Thank you! Did your husband just bring his US passport to the interview?

he did yes but to be honest they didn’t look it or anything else we work. the lady we got was a seasoned veteran… she took one look at us and said ‘I can walk through a room and I know what couple is real and who isn’t’ she asked how we met and that was it. We talked about hockey for 20 mins and that was the interview. At the end … we asked her ‘are we approved? she said she will update the system (was approved that evening) and pointed to these massive folders of refugee claims saying she’s more worried about the work that takes than legit couples. If your relationship is legit, there is no worry. Be yourself, they are nice people.
