Interview for Green Card Cancelled 106 Days Ago – No Reschedule, EAD Pending 307 Days (California)
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice or hear from people with similar experiences.
I am in California and currently waiting for my marriage-based green card interview. My interview was cancelled 106 days ago, and my total adjustment of status process has now been pending for 307 days. The USCIS status says that the interview should be rescheduled, but so far nothing has happened.
In addition, my EAD (work permit) has also been pending for 307 days. I already completed biometrics, but there have been no updates since then. Because of this delay, I lost my job on October 28, 2025, and I am still unable to work legally.
So far:
• We have called USCIS multiple times
• My attorney sent a written inquiry
• A congresswoman’s office also submitted an inquiry
Despite all of this, there has been no movement or response on either the interview rescheduling or the EAD.
Has anyone experienced such a long delay after a cancelled interview?
Is there anything else I can realistically do at this point to push USCIS to act?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
