Interview Done!
Hi everyone! I just got back from my marriage based interview in Washington DC. Wanted to share my experience! We went in and had to wait for about an hour but it was fine since it gave us to prepare our minds. When we went in, the officer was very nice and she welcomed us to take a seat. She asked us for our marriage license, passport, birth certificates, and drivers licenses. Then she asked for some joint documents that can support our marriage. We took 6 months of joint utility bills, joint bank account statement (2 months), a check that was issued under a different bank account with both of our names and address, tax returns 2022, lease agreement, car insurance. Then she asked us about the general questions such as identifying our names and birthdays and address. After that, she asked my husband how did you guys meet, do you still work and that was it! The question for me was are you working, when was the last time you came to the US (I came here as an F1) and the "have you ever" questions that were initially on my submitted documents. It was surprising to see that she didn't ask to see any of our photos but I told her I brought a whole photo album and she took 3 photos (friends and families) At the end she told us that she has enough evidence to support our marriage and I just had to sign a paper and so did the officer. She told us she would review the documents and make up a decision in2-3 weeks and the greencard will arrive in 2 weeks or so. She didn't really give a direct "approval" but she sounded like so. (Want to hear your thoughts on this) An hour or so after, the i-130 is changed again to actively review. Does anyone know if this is normal? I can take any questions! I am more than happy to!

if your I-130 already changed to second actively being reviewed, she most likely approved your I-485 . since it happened around 7 in the morning I assume ( Washington DC field office VA ) , u can check the documents tab in your account and the approval notice is most likely in there. In any case I wish u a good outcome.

@felasky I Believe in Allah πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Hi! I'm really confused with the document tab. I don't see anything there under the concurrent files of my i-485 and 130. Does it appear on my husband's account? It's just that we couldn't even find our interview notice on the document section or is it just that I'm looking at a wrong page?
