@Hopeful Girl - mine is over a month and it still shows “interview was scheduled” . So I was like, the officer didn’t enter anything on my case portal or what? 🤦🏾‍♂️ smh

Oh wow. How did your interview go? What did the officer tell you at the end of it regarding his/her decision?

interview was simple and straightforward. The officer took some photos and scan some documents that I had given in support of my application, and then told me everything looks set and that I will hear from them very soon. Till date, not even an update!!! How did yours go?

Did the officer tell you he will approve the case? Ours went well as well, quick and straightforward. Dodnt ask anything. Just made copies of a couple things because he hasn’t received our file from NBC. He even said he’s not sure why we were asked for an interview. Then he said once he uploads everything he will approve and we should have our card in a week or two. If we don’t get any updates in a few weeks to call him. He even said he will tr y to get it expedited so we can get it in a week.

I must say you met an Angel 😇at the interview. If he follows it up for you, you might get it this week or next week. My officer didn’t use the word “approved” , he just said everything looks fine and there’s nothing left for him to check. I should get a decision in a week! and it’s over a month now. Damn it!

the officer? I don’t have his number, how can I call him?😀 And I didn’t call USCIS either cos I felt it’s too early for that now. People have been waiting for months and they get approved after long waits, so what makes me special? Lol 😆

Well, he said if we log into your USCIS account, his email will be there and we can reach out. I haven’t tried yet. I was talking about calling USCIS, a lot of times there’s action going on in the back group but there’s delay in status update. Lol we are all special! We were told if there are no updates in a month most definitely reach out.

I will log onto my account and if I see a number, I definitely will give them a call. But I’m pretty sure yours will come true very soon. Your officer is kinda helping. This immigration journey is emotionally exhausting , I’m even tired my dear 😀

Well, he said email not phone number. To call, you will just have to call the regular USCIS number. Just say “technical difficulties “ and it should connect you right away. I’m sure you will hear something soon and it will all be over! 🤞

Hi M, what’s DQ?

DQ means (Document Qualified). It applies to people who are applying for i130 to spouse who are overseas (not in the USA) . The NVC (National Visa Center) checks the documents that is presented and then is satisfied with what is provided before sending it to the overseas country for interview to be conducted at the embassy @Hopeful Girl - this doesn’t apply to you as you’re adjusting your status in the United States . I guess

I meant i130 not i131 . Your spouse petition I-130(does it also show approved)? not the I-131 Advance parole travel document I want to educate myself on whether i485 can be approved without necessarily i130 showing “approved”

We didn’t apply for I130. This was employment based and we both live in the US. We did I140( premium processing) and then filed for I485, I765 and I131 concurrently. If 485 is approved first you won’t need 765 and 131. Not sure how it works with I130 though.

Yes absolutely! The wait is painful and disheartening. But hope is all we have, not much we can do. The backlogs are slowly starting to clear so hopefully people don’t have to wait as long. Good luck to you!
