not in Canada but i received dq on july and still waiting for an interview letter

I will be nvc in Montreal but haven’t had my I-130 approved yet! look forward to hearing responses to this post!

@Hope p it has to be one issued by the RCMP and not municipal police …

@Hope p when you go to get one one, just tell them what it is for and they will process accordingly . commissionaires are authorized to do it for RCMP as well if that’s more convenient for you

@K B thank you! can i do it before hand or would RCMP require a letter from Immigration, did u get your approval?

@Hope p pcc has to be recent , as in within last 6 months so if your case is already at NVC you can go ahead and get this done . No letter from immigration needed . depending where you are in Canada it may take up to two weeks for your local RCMP office to process and mail your pcc. if you are still waiting for I-130 approval, just wait until you move onto NVC
