well i had my interview there on Nov 22...and it was quick and fast. I do believe tho it all depends on the officer that will be interviewing you...you will go through about 2 security check points then to the 9th floor where the rep will take the interview notice from you...you will sit and wait for your name to be called then you will be sent to the 4th floor that is where the interview will be...when you go on the 4th floor there is another security there if it's not too crowed he will let you go to the window hand in your interview notice this time you won't get it back ..then they going to ask you if you travel within the last 2 weeks or if you have covid symptoms then you will get a number you take a seat or stand until your name or number is called...make sure your documents are in order and DO NOT leave with your medical plz hand it in ..just relax you will be ok Good luck

Federal Plaza 11/29/21 We were sent to the 4th floor My lawyer arrived on her own and my husband and I arrived on time, we had to go to the window to have the notification scanned, I was asked to take finger prints and take the mask off for a picture, we were asked if we need it a translator and got a M# we were told to wait on the right side of the waiting area. We waited like 1 hour before been call. First she asked us for our ID’s and held them till the end, she said she had some questions in regards the I-130 & I-485 that she had previously noted as she review the case before we went in. She asked for the original marriage certificate, our birth certificates and divorce decree. Questions for my husband: Age and names of my 3 children, my current job and previous job, how I get paid and what date and the day of the week I get paid, as well as the bank account where that money gets deposit , how much is the rent and how many rooms. Questions for me: Age of his son, where he lives, my child support amount, his work hours, if he had direct deposit and what bank, how often. She asked for an updated medical as mine was expired since 7/19/2021 She asked me the yes and no questions and made me signed i-130 form. She said her last name and say the decision will be mail within 120 days. 30 minutes after the appointment it shows: Interview Was Completed and My Case Must Be Reviewed

@Travi Trent the questions are varied base on your interviewer.. so my questions or somebody's else question may not be yours...however I have seen the how and when we met questions a lot from other persons just go and speak your truth...my interview last about 10 mins approval on spot and i received my green card one week after my interview and i didn't used a lawyer my process took 10 months exactly now i see ppl getting through in 3 ,4,5 and 6months and that is amazing.in your interview when your making reference to your spouse use words like our and we two keys words to remember...they might ask what is your address you or your spouse should say our address is so and so ok...good luck again

@Travi you will be ok, interact with your partner at the waiting area, they are watching. Everyone questions are different, I'm sharing mine, hope their helpful, wish you all the luck

@travi I didn’t have my interview in New York but all I can tell you is that know everything about each other especially important dates, how and when you met, marriage date, in law’s names. and be confident especially your spouse who is citizen. be yourselves and don’t forget to pray. it all depends on the IO.
