when is your interview? Mostly from some cases that I’ve known, they just had that form handy, but the officer never asked for it

someone I know just had an interview. the officer asked him about 485J so I think you should have it ready!!!

@Sara ... oh no no, you only need to bring it if you have not submitted it yet! If you already did, then you’re good! In the case of my friend, he was asked about it only because he hadn’t submitted 485J after he switched to a new employer. So the officer asked him about it to confirm his new employment.

oh especially if you already received the notice from uscis about them receiving your 485J, it means they received yours so you just need to bring your form of notice (including others) just in case in stead of the actual 485j form. If you submitted your 485J but haven’t heard from them yet, just bring the form with you in case uscis didn’t receive yours.
