Interview - Tax Docs (1040)
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding your experiences with your interview (if you had it already). I have all original documentation prepared for the interview. However, on my joint sponsor’s Form 1040, there is one page from it that contains a signature of her preparer. I only have a printed version of that page. I know the officers typically want original copies… Well, my joint sponsor is in the US. My husband will interview in Germany. Would she have to mail that specific page to him so he can bring it to the interview? Or is a printed copy of it okay? The preparer signed in blue ink, for reference. I am concerned about this situation because I don’t know if my joint sponsor would feel comfortable mailing that important page from her 1040 (since it contains her account info and whatnot). Thank you, much appreciated. 🙏 #cr1 #ir1 #interview #jointsponsor #form1040

I think the printed copy is better because what if the interviewer take it and you let with no original papers that why you should get the copy to the interview.

During my interview they didn't ask any of the financial docs. I had a printed copy of i864ez with me.

@M T I hope so. We’ve still not even been DQ yet. Rejected 3x already, and sometimes for such simple things. Still waiting for them to review our latest resubmission. Almost a week and still they have not reviewed. I sent an inquiry, they replied saying they’ll receive, but still they did nothing.

@Maria Chong We were told to bring all financial docs. My income level wasn’t sufficient enough. My husband and joint sponsor’s incomes are, but bc of me, a joint sponsor is required. I submitted the I-864 and I-864A along with financial docs.

@Mariana ♡ did you upload all docs on the ceac? What I'm saying is that at my interview they didn’t ask for petitioner's docs since they are on ceac. They ask for the originals of certificates. I did bring all financial docs, the aos was a printed copy, not the original.

@Mariana that what I said she make copies of the original in case they ask for it but I downloaded everything in my account so they did not ask except for when the interviewer ask if we have anything that we want him to so we gave him pictures of us and the family that was all. And please try to know your spouse date of birth because the first thing the interviewer ask was our ID card and ask each one for our spouse birth date.

@Maria Chong Yes, we uploaded everything onto CEAC. They’ve jerked us around 3x. Had the same experience with USCIS. If there is an issue at the interview, at this point I will feel zero shock. 😂 Still no update from NVC.

@Mariana ♡ hang in there, I feel your pain. I'm stuck in AP after my interview, waiting for their decision. I was hoping that after the interview we will finally know how to plan our lives, but I guess it's not the right time yet. Hopefully you will hear some good news soon!

@Maria Chong how long have you been in AP? do you know the reason? I wish only the best for you and your partner as well. It’s not easy. My husband could never visit me on ESTA or B2 during all this. He was rejected for both. No reasonable explanation for the ESTA rejection, even after appealing it. He was denied a B2 because the officer felt he didn’t have enough ties to his home country…I’m so anxious about his CR1 interview. We’ve not had much luck at all.

@Mariana ♡ Thank you 🥰 it's been 6 weeks 🤦🏻‍♀️one of the pcc is expired and I can't get a new one. I provided a detailed explanation. So they are working on it. They took my passport at the end of the interview, everyone says it's a good sign. Don't stress out too much about it, I also had my b2 rejected. Both experiences are completely different. During ir1 interview the officer was nice and we got to have a short chat.
