What questions were you asked and how long did the interview take?

@yeye Ferrer so you questions will be asked based on the evidence u provided and how your case was submitted.... 1. when was the last date of entry to the united states 2.did I work while I was out of status. 3.how long it took me to drive to the interview. 4. do I have any kids. 5. the most common question for everyone HOW DID WE MET.

applied on march 2023 today i saw progress tab with estimated time 4 months for the first time 2 hours later i got two emails action taken on my case now actively reviewing my i485 for 2nd time no rfe nothing else since i applied as per info pass my interview was wavied last month in local office am i hearing good news soon anyone with same experience thank you in advance

@mash man in most case whenever u get fhe actively reviewed for the ²nd time sign in to your online account amd check under documents and see if there's any updates there usual there's and approval letter or notice there.... best and worst case scenario your interview will be scheduled very soon or a decision had been made

@kj ward I had my interview in April of this year. The officer said that she have to review the case and we will hear back in 3-4 weeks now it’s soon two months. how long after your interview did it you get a decision?

@tash Tash mine was pretty much straight to the point... i130 was approved on the spot then the officer said he will try his best to see how fast he can get the 1485 approved which got approved the following day.... 3-4 weeks review isn't a bad news it simple means your case is in good standing , usually they don't always tell u it's approved on the spot... but as long as ur interview didn't get messed up with ur answers u should see an approval soon... if u mess up they would have informed u that a stokes interview would be required of an RfE will follow and seeing that we are in June they just reviewing your case so u gonna be okay...

@tash Tash yes u can, but seeing that u already did interview and current just waiting on approval I wouldn't do it... because I know your case gonna get approval...usually at your interview u can know when u mess up based on the reaction on the officer and also u in yourself will know when your information or answers isn't up to par.... but yes u can apply for it...but u will need a good reason to expedite your i131 for advance parole .... I would more likely submit a service request if u haven't get your decision in 90 days from your interview date...

my I-130 was approved on spot , just replied to the RFE for a joint sponsor

300 days have passed since filing. No RFE since December 2023. USCIS Agent notified me that my interview was waived back in November 2023. As of April 11th 2024, USCIS Agent said my case was moved to Local Field Office; Lousville. As of today, I-485 shows Step 3 out of 4; pending interview if necessary. No documents have been uploaded to the online account. Can I expect to receive any news regarding next steps and if an interview will be necessary, even though I was told it was waived last year. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

@Nattlestar 🇨🇦🇺🇸 🤞 well 300 days is still under the case processing time since most case is being processed within 18 months .... so in this case u u just have to wait for your next notice or notification , because if u ask tour agent why it's taking so long he or she gonna tell u that your case is still inside normal processing time... as it regards to your interview status being waived... most interview status are initially waived until closer to the decision date they will either continue to allow it to stay waived or they might change the status from waived to schedule for initial interview.. but best of luck hopefully u get some good news soon🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

@God Bless as I always tell people an interview is what u make it to be, no interview is really difficult, remember these officers don't know u they literally just trying to understand your relationship and the Validity of what u have on your application, so once you're in a genuine marriage/relationship your interview should go great, because once your marriage is real u should know about your partner and his life and partial family and he should know about yours or the other way around.... so going into your interview focus in the little details first date, the how do u met,bring as much new evidence that u can come up with, go in there be calm answer truthfully ask for clarity if you don't understand sp u can control the pace of the interview and the direction of the questions... best of luck🙏🏽🙏🏽💯 u guys Got this

@kj ward .....I was scheduled for interview last month, few days before my i130 interview, my wife was arrested and sent to jail for traffic offense so I went to the interview vith a lawyer who presented a letter showing that my wife is in jail and we asked for a reschedule in 6 months time but the officer approved 3 months. We accepted and appreciated her only for me to see my online update as 'no one showed up for the interview '.....I got surprised.....What should I do?....My lawyer said I should wait until a decision is taken.....do i really have to wait for that.....I am having sleepless nights??????

@kj ward hey, my case is also at Washington FO since May. do you have an idea of how long it took for them approve your I 130 because I have been waiting since May 21 2023

@jimmy .. yeah, logically it was a Np show because u can't attend the interview alone without your petitioner unless they are Dead and u can prove that they are... arrested isn't a good thing to present to immigration officer... so the fact that they didn't deny your case is a good thing so your given another chance so just said for the update to see if they reschedule it... I wouldn't worry too much since they didn't deny your case right away💯🙏🏽🙏🏽

hi sir, @kj ward we have applied for F2A, my husband is a green card holder (will be applying for citizenship soon; it's been 4 yrs now) and I am a resident of Dubai. it's showing 18 months, etc etc for the second time, first the same 24 months, 18 months then 2 weeks then your case is taking more expected time period, then recently the same 18 months; What does this mean? And how long can the procedures take place sir? in the time frame if we are planning for a family, and if we get a baby what will be the procedures will that affect my time period for spouse visa or it will be the same? Kindly help as we are going through a tough time from our parents, in-laws, relatives, it's being so much stressful now! 🙏

@damo 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 during 2023 i130 petitioner files by US citizens were being prioritize so they were approving them within 12-14 months ....and it all depends on where initially your case was sent first... so might 1st field office was NBC and then transfered to our local field office which is Washington field office .... so since yours just over a year on your case I would use 18 months as a reference mark for ur approval

@j baby. f2a category is always a tricky category when it comes on your Greencard application... faster u will see your case move and approve is when your partner upgrade their status from Greencard holder to US citizens where your category will change from F2a to Ir1 or ir4 or Ir6 where your case move faster since us citizen greencard are always readily available and for a Greencard holder they have to wait on their priority date and wait until a Greencard is available

@kj ward I estimated roughly 14-18 months as well. my case was at NBC for about 13 months then it was sent to DC FO in May 2024. I told by USCIS that my interview was waived but I don’t trust it because I read that NBC will make recommendations for the interview to be waived but the FO can still ask us to come in for an interview. I’m not worried about an interview tho because me and my spouse (usc) are solid plus we jus had a baby but I just want this process to be done with so I’m hoping DC FO don’t take long to approve or call us for an interview.

@kj ward but sir wht does these mean, at first they showed 18 months, 24 months, then 2 weeks then it was your case is taking more time period, after a long gap they again showed 18 months and still the same!

@jobin j baby if your referring to the country down in your online account process tab, it usually count down and get updated periodically.... it doesn't really gives u an exact decision date... but usually when it jumps down to 3 week And below it usually means something is happening to ur case it's either an officer look at it or a decision has been made

@jobin j baby so citizenship are taking 0-6 months these days due to the fact that it's election year... so it can go pretty fast as well as ur husband can have stuffs on record to make it slow.... once your husband become a citizen call uscis and inform them he has become a citizen and u want to upgrade your case category to citizen filing for spouse instead of Greencard holder filing for spouse

@jobin j baby u can get there contact info online.... when u call say "I wanna know about my case" it will take u to a real person just answer the yes or no questions and u will get someone if it ask u for your case number or receipt munger just simple say I don't have one
