hi Chukwuebuka Ezurike, congratulations how did you go about it? I have tried to expedite mine 2x but got denied. I am in the process of utilizing my congressman. what were your reasons and did you do it by yourself? thank you

@ola mine was sent April 22 and they just updated my file on August 16 talking about that’s when they recieved it

@kim I did it by my self, I contacted cis ombudsman twice

Spot on advice there! I requested expedite request for my I-765 FIVE times or more and all 5 were denied. But guess what, about 3 days after the 5th or 6th denial, EAD was approved and mailed. So, as Ebuka advised, keep expediting.

morning bro , quick one : called USCIS yesterday to get my ead accelerated and d lady asked for da reason which I said due to financial hardship but she requested for letter of employment but told her that's not possible ,who is gonna employ you without a working permit , but she later gave me ticket # and will reach out within 7days , what do you think ?

@Ola odds; Oooops! Blunder there! You just missed a rare chance at getting an EAD/Work Authorization Card in the mail in another 10 days from yesterday. She definitely knew what she meant; you could have told her you would be ready to send them the documents via mail.(Wish you had asked this question before you put that call across). So, yes, you could get a job offer without a work authorization, it would only be conditional upon presenting your EAD card and that is what you now need to convince, nay, compel USCIS to fast track issuing you an EAD Card so you don't lose the offer. These things work a little differently with USCIS and you need to go in prepared. Sometimes, if they ask if you have something, you might wanna say you'll send it and then go work on it (if you didn't have it. With your response, they'll most likely deny the request. But you can expedite again a week or more after that.

@ omo yoruba ponbele, just getting your message bro , but it depends on the kinda job you wanna apply for ...not all companies will give you employment letter without a permit to work , @least EAD card , green or citizen , but they updated the expedited request on their website ,just gonna wait and see how it goes and hope all goes well if not will have to do it again lol.

congrats. my ead expedited request got denied (congressman’s office forwarded me that email of denial). how long after the denial should I start reapply? thank you!

@ y h , how many days to know their decision ,approve/denied .

as long as it takes - sometimes they don’t even respond (I had requests pending for 3 weeks) second one was denied 3 hours after asking and third is day 4 of waiting
