i824 follow to join
I'm currently on GC. I got married last year, and applied follow-to-join (I-824) for my wife. Now her immigration process is about to complete, but we're expecting a baby before her visa interview.
My question is, do I have to file follow-to-join for my newborn baby all over again? As the follow-to-join process is taking around 12-18 months to complete, it'll only delay the process of bringing my family here.
Will I have any other option for my baby, besides "follow-to-join"?

If your wife has the baby on US soil he will directly be considered a US citizen. If your wife immigration paperwork is not ready yet she can get inside the us on a turist visa, regardless of that your child will be considered a US citizen if born on US soil

I think you can add your baby once you start the consular processing for your wife. the baby will be derivative immediate family. Bit it’s always best to book a lawyer for the question to be sure. Good luck!!
