Card was produced because it was approved so technically case is closed because of that

Hmmm ... that sounds troublesome .it happened to me when my i485 got denied .but yours is different I would call them first thing and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer . If they can't provide you with the information you need then I would go ahead and contact the Ombudsman to look into your case . You can request that here - https://www.dhs.gov/case-a ssistance
