Sorry about your case. I also lost my job bcz of the delay. My suggestion is to submit an expedite request. Also contact a congressman for help. Some people actually got a help they need from a congressman.

my last expedite request was denied based on financial hardship. Tried with congressman now and still in progress. it’s been 2 weeks already

@ Anton. I also got denied when using that reason only. what field do you work? when I requested again, I mentioned not only financial lost, but also humanitarian reasons (support faculty and students during covid time) .

@Mee well, I'm not sure bcz of timing or claims, but I received the approval two business days after I faxed them the evidence. I've been out of work for almost five months when I submitted the third expedite request bcz of no EAD. The first two got denied. Then one of Reddit members messaged me and told me what I should say besides severe financial loss as almost everyone claimed it. And just after two business days, I got approved.
