Applied in Jan 2026, no I-765. Yesterday had Interview for I-485 and was told it's unlikely the I-765 will be processed at all and instead will just have to wait for Green Card to work. From a lawyer consultation I heard this has become very common and many applicants I-765 is ignored and the Green Card gets processed a bit sooner. It's a tough situation to not be able to work for so long. All the best to you and anyone else stuck in limbo. I am still waiting too.

I heard the same, I sent mine in May. I just wanted to work. I hate no helping in home with stuff. I wish luck for us. Everything will be fine
