Let me share my experience - I managed to raise 3 expedite requests - - First was raised by myself directly with USCIS and the Other two of those were raised via congressman office case worker. All my requests were denied citing a general reason, that they dont believe the reason is strong enough to be considered for expediting. in case its raised via congressman office USCIS will share the decision in 30 days and congressman office will share the outcome immediatly. in case its a personal request raised directly with USCIS , I am not sure they ever responded. They are hardly entertaining any request but stay optimistic and I wish you get it approved soon. You can look for any outcome after 30 days of submission of documents they asked. hope this was helpful.

After you get a confirmation from congressman office about submission of your request, yeh its 30 days. you can also call USCIS to confirm they have a request from congressman office or not.
