@Tee k Be prepared to talk about why your previous marriage ended. Also bring loads of evidence to prove it. Simply put, if your marriage was real, your ex doesn’t shit on you and you provide proof of a good faith marriage then you will be approved

@Rocco Forté after years of wait starting 2020, I recently had I guess a combo interview in Oct after filing for N400 in April and it’s 118 days still awaiting with same status interview was scheduled. I had a tough interview I must say with a lady from army background as it looks like my ex wife had send in some documents which they didn’t disclose to me had send to USCIS regarding my past relationships as she claims and I shouldn’t be here. I have a kid with her. And since she lost in court divorce case with me with her original request to claim the child completely which didn’t go well and court ordered in my favor. Now the only option she has I assume is to get me deported so that way court orders won’t matter. It’s almost 1600 days for I 751 with divorce waiver and 118 days for N400. Still waiting. after a long back and forth questions & answers, the officer moved on to asking civics questions and had another officer to witness/sign as well and made me sign Oath of allegiance. After that handed over a N652 form stating civics and English passed, but can’t make the decision now and will let you know. Need to travel back to my country for a quick visit to schedule a surgery for my mom and now stuck with the thought if it would be wise travel out in this situation.

@Ri Jo I am very sorry to hear about your bad experience. Do you have a lawyer at your interview?

I do have one who manages my case but for interview it was by myself

@Ri Jo Ok I think the saving grace here is that you both share a child and they will see that she’s just scorned for losing in the divorce case. I’d say gather a lot of support letters from people that know you both as a couple and were familiar with your divorce proceedings. I agree with you on traveling too. You should not travel until all this is sorted out. They are obligated to decide your N-400 within a 120 days so I believe you will hear back very very soon.
