What if you get the 10 year green card instead of 2 year gc by mistake from Uscis,
(got married on October 2020, came to US on July 2022.)
I'm been treating my gc like a conditional one so I filed for i751, there's any issue while traveling nowadays or later while applying for citizenship?
(have both the 10 year gc and extension letter, still pending case for 2 years)
Any case similar with mine?
TIA

yes you will have to report it immediately, you might face being out of status after the end of two years, and is a huge problem, call them let them now and they will tell you watcho do

I filed for i751 to remove the conditions and I got a extension letter. with the documents uploaded was my green card too. I did biometrics last year ( me and my husband)
plus got the extension letter for 48 months.

conditional green card is only given if it hasn’t been 2 years since you got married by the time you got your greencard. if you got married in Oct 2020, and got your green card approval after October 2022 you should be fine with 10 year green card

no.I got it less than 2 years mark. so was clearly a mistake.

@ tessa t, you did the right thing, because they would be telling you that it's your responsibility to know these things for their mistakes.
