congratulations 🎉 damn it took them 1,5 month to aprove your i 751 , I had my interview yesterday but they said they have to aprove my i 751 even tho I had combo interview , so frustrating I was hoping to get aprove on spot , joke on me 🤣

@lex lex yes, I had the interview for my n400, but I came with my husband since I had i751 pending, I read that is better to go with your spouse , ( which I assumed will be a easier for them to make a decision on my i751 🤣) I passed the test but I left with decision can not be made bc i have pending i751( pretty much then what is the point of the making combo interview if you can’t make a decision on the spot ) lol so the waiting game started again, so exhausted, I literally cried the whole day yesterday bc when I went for my 2 years green card interview they told me right away that we are good

@anna s I am the same only now they transfered my case! the officer told me she was closing it and going to post my letter for cermony and now I got a notice to say my i751 has been transefered I’m so confused and no one to contact to ask

@lorry R my case was transfer right after I applied for my n 400 back in January 2023 ( I think the officer had the case in front of him but I’m not sure exactly , bc I saw some files from the case I send for my 2 years green card with some old pictures ) I’m hoping for any response as soon as posible , it’s very confusing and stressful

@Olawumi O I had pretty basic question about our taxes , and lease , why we moved and how much we pay rent , then some questions from the photo albume like where the picture was taken and who is with us in the pictures, was asked to show some commune bills , it was confusing bc I started by showing passport, ids , taxes , then the officer start asking me the question for the n400 test with my husband inside ( I was told usually they asking the suppose to leave the room ) after I passed the test he went throw my n 400 application , then he went back to interview us , the system was on and off , the interview took 1,5 hour , over all overt stressful

@Olawumi O well I wish it was over , bc they didn’t aproved my i 751 which meaning they can’t aprove me for my citizenship ,so I have to wait now to see if they gonna aprove my 10 years one or they gonna need some more evidence , and by reading other forums looks like it can take forever for them to aprove it

wow! I’m just so tired of these delays already. it’s clearly obvious that the uscis don’t care about anyone

I went to my interview with my wife because had combo interview and at the moment of the interview he told us first we have to pass the i751 then continue with the n400 ,the official separate us after the first 2 minute due to I wasn’t livin together with my wife , they’ask basic questions like were do you guys met , we’re you did last 2 years , ask for prove like , car insurance , life insurance , leases together , banks accounts.

my case in total when I apply to remove conditions took close to 3 years , due to COVID I guess my case got delay that’s why as soon pass 3 years since got my residence I apply for n400 and got the combo interview

@anna b have you heard from them? I did my i751 interview last week but it was scary. spent two hours and she didn’t even ask me to do the n400 interview. her system was down the whole time. I don’t know if that’s the reason

@Olawumi O , hey , nope didn’t heard anything , it’s gonna be one month next week and nothing , which state was your interview in ? I had similar situation when the sister was on and off that’s why took 1,5 hour for the interview

I’m in New Hampshire. moved here temporarily but had to change my address on the uscis website and they transferred my case after I changed address. at the interview she asked what we have that tied us to the state and I told her we moved here temporarily while we get our new place sorted and I had to change the address because uscis says to change address within ten days. it’s been 7 days now.

@Olawumi O my office told me that in a month after the interview I should be hear from them , that’s what he told me when walking outside of the office , but idk , I see so many people aproved on spot , it’s so hard to wait , I’m waking up and going to sleep with same thoughts in my head for the past 3 weeks lol honestly idk how long is gonna take to see some result

@anna b no I haven’t heard from them regarding my I-751 but got notification for my N400 yesterday. Question to any one here that has maybe expthis before, do I still need to go with my spouse for the N400 interview when they haven’t gotten back to me about my I751? I’m not sure my spouse would follow me since we’ve agreed to get a divorce.

Question: can one take a photocopy of spouse birth certificate to naturalization interview or it has to be the original copy?

@Olawumi O you need the original copy for the interview , but at my interview they did not asked for any birth certificate whatsoever even tho we did have it , , I don’t know if he forgot or what lol but we did came together for the interview, bc I still have the i 751 pending , but I saw on the other forum some peaple was going without their spouse to the n400 interview , so honestly it’s up to you bc in the notice they don’t mention anything about bringing the spouse

thanks @anna b . we had gone together for the I-751 and actually the interview was meant to be a combo of i751 and n400 but the officer only did the i751. the notice they sent yesterday only had my name on it.
