I actually just realized I messed up on fingerprints taken date. Actually taken January 2020 (1 month after the case opened) 20 months since then, no more progress

Manuel Congratulations!!! Im also in the process of the i601A. My case was received on 6/29/21 and I had my biometrics appointment on 8/2/2021. Like you it was fast. Do you know if all cases Request for Evidence(RFE) from USCIS? or it depends on each case?

Also I did my biometrics on August 2 but the website has not been updated, it still says the date they receive my case and that's it. Is that normal or do I have do something?

Chivy B, thank you. RFE’s are not requested for all cases. There are various reasons why they ask sometimes, from a specific document missing or they want a more recent copy of a specific document but not all cases, I have seen lots of cases not get RFE requests. As for updating on the website, they tend to be slow at doing it. When I did my Biometrics before COVID, it took a couple of weeks for it to update on the website. They should be updating the website on your case rather soon

yes, they said i have to keep waiting because the processing times it shows on the website is around 25-29 month and i have 22 so is not out of the processing times :(

That’s insane. They keep saying they’re working to do away with the backlog but somehow the backlog just gets worse and worse. My waiver took 20 months and seems like taking longer now 🤦‍♂️
