i485j approved
approved I485j , EB2 PD- May2016, ported EB1A in Jan 2024. what does it mean ? is it a good thing or any problem , longer wait time for the Green Card?
anyone - how’s your timeline after this step?
my field office is Kendall , this approval came to my attorney from NBC, Probably due to 180 days rule?

@Deep K yes it was employer sponsored. attorneys filed it with 485.

@Jorge Alberto The 180-day rule for the I-485J is a US immigration rule that allows an applicant to change jobs and still adjust their status while their Green Card is pending. not sure, if they give 485j , or rfe- if not filed & if 485 application takes longer than 180 days for decision! can someone confirm?

@E A regular , I was expecting 485 now, as it’s been more than 7 months, got EAD 2 months ago. No 485 but got this last week. so not sure how long 485 will take after 485j

@V C interesting, my 485j has been waiting for 8 months with no update. Last status is:
“we received your case and waived the filing fee for your Form I-485J, Confirmation of Bona Fide Job Offer or Request for Job Portability Under INA Section “

There is no constant pattern, the only thing that you should be looking is the PD. If not current dont expect a movement.
