@annie e same here .. disappoints a bit to see cases behind come all of a sudden are way ahead .. we’re in the same boat .. unfortunately nothing we can do but keep waiting .. I filled Feb 2023

PD August 2022 been sitting in Brooklyn FO over a year now. All I can do is wait.

@annie e Hi, I had to look back at the conversations we have had. Do you know if you were transferred to a field office yet? you have not been waiting that long. You are still under 300 days. The field offices are where things get stuck. Mine was approved within a week of being sent to the field office. No interview. I don’t want to be one of the people who say “it is okay your day will come soon”. It is so easy to say when you are no longer sitting there waiting.

@Grateful Anonymous Hi, you need to call USCIS and speak to a person. Keep saying info pass when you call the 1-800 number or you will not get a person. Ask if your file has been transferred. All 485 need to go to the field office for a decision. NBC only approves work permits and advanced parole.

@Grateful Anonymous I was approved within a week of the transfer. This is not a usual thing. Depends on the field office mostly, and if they feel you need to be investigated or interviewed. Mt husband and I did not have red flags I guess.

@Kingsley B I talked to an agent and they said “It does not have to go to a Field Office to be approved”. Anyway, I just want to hear good news. i just feel sad that some cases got approved faster I know some who faked marriage, I don’t have a problem with it. I just feel bad.

@annie e they are lying to you and do not want to check. NBC does not approve 485. Two immigration lawyers have told me and also agents I spoke to. What the agent might have meant is the actual physical copy does not need to be sent but the account needs to be transferred electronically. Call again and ask again. This will give you an idea of your time frame.
