that actually should give you some idea. for eg : Washington DC takes 36.5 months complete a case on average for example

mine was assigned to long island NY office 3 weeks ago... no movement yet

is that processing time is from the date it goes to the files office or from receipt date or from the date it goes to NBC

@del Kh - How were you notified that it got transferred 3 weeks ago? did it show up on the uscis case portal or you tried reaching out via Emma

@GC 2024 I found out when I reached out to Emma live Chat. no status update on the USCIS portal

no update on case history, I found out when I called USCIS contact center

got it. let’s keep each other posted. in the same boart except my case got transferred to San Jose

does the live chat provide this information? what question do i ask? whenever i ask anything about case status i am pointed to uscis check status website

@Ank G live chat is of no use. but it can help you place a service request: this type of requests are processed by real people who would know what’s going on in your case. it takes a while to get a response (I think, up to 30 days or something), but it’s the most reliable way to receive info. another way is to contact your congressman and ask them to require with uscis what is going on with your case

we already filed a SR via the lawyers 3 weeks back, no response. i also resched out to my local congressman 10 days back. no response there as well.
