I485 processiing
I am from Nepal, and I want to share some information about my green card application in the EB3 category.
My priority date is June 2022, and I submitted my I485 application in April 2023. At the time of filing, the priority date was current, but it retrogressed from May 2023 onwards. It has now been over 80 days since I filed my I485, and I haven’t yet received a notice for a Biometrics appointment. The most recent update I received from USCIS was a mailed notice about a week after submitting my application, which stated that "our National Benefit Center Location is working on your case."
I am wondering if they will process my application before the priority date becomes current again. Despite the visa retrogression, shouldn't I have already been scheduled for a biometrics appointment?

Have you filed for i-730 in parallel?.
My understanding is that biometrics is required for i-730 which is not blocked by the priority date. So you can still expect a biometrics appointment

@Nepali Boy : I have few friends who filed around the same time and got the Biometrics notice in a month.

That's so strange. Most of the people I know and myself we got a biometrics appoitment within the 2 months after filing it. How about the biometrics for i-131 and i-765 ? You and I have a same priority date and Eb3 skilled category. Did my biometrics in may and I am desperately waiting for my Ead Card. I believe you will get your biometrics appointment soon. Aja ko retrogression news le tanab diyo. Hopefully, we will get a good news in october.

I am also in same boat, even my priority date is June 2022. we have submitted the application before retrogression. Haven’t heard anything yet?

@Sudip Prasai When you get the notice for biometric appointment. Do you get biometric information on your check case status page or it just notice you receive on mail

@nep20 neo You will get mail of the biometrics notice and case will be updated once you submit the biometrics. I got appointment notice on July 14 while I filed I485 and I765 on Apr 21

I applied in April for eb3, I just got my i130 and i765 approved this week. Biometrics done in May last week

Has anyone received a EAD card or Greencard and if so, what was the duration of time it took for you to receive either of these cards?
