i485 (EB1B) approved
Took a little over 200 days but it’s finally over.
- EB1-B ROW
- 1 Dependent
My wife had an approved EB2 NIW (PD Feb 2023, ~6 days with PP) but since it wasn’t current forever, my employer sponsored me for the EB1.
Preparation of the I-140 took less than two weeks as I could pretty much just re-use my O1 evidence.
Similar timeline for preparing the I-485/131/765… and then nothingggg for months.
I am aware that 7ish months are not insanely long, but it was frustrating, especially when friends and colleagues of ours got approved way earlier despite applying after us.

@GC 2024 I talked to an agent via Emma twice to inquire where my application is currently located and whether anyone has looked at it. Both times the answer was that it was still at NBC and no one had touched it. So for all I know, it never left NBC, with the caveat that the last time I got in touch with them was a month before approval.
So, no sign of imminent approval. I also checked my i94 travel history because (according to the internet) it sometimes disappears just before approval, but no.
The only thing I saw was that the day before approval, my position in line in the lawfully case analysis pro randomly jumped ahead by like 20 cases for no apparent reason. but that may have been a coincidence.

7/10: New card is being produced
7/11: Case was approved
7/15: Card was mailed to me
On 7/16 I chatted with Emma and the agent gave me the tracking info. It will be delivered (in Boston) today.
