uscis tell me I’m gonna receiving a letter my i485 closed and after that he gonna process my GC

@ Baltimore, USCIS sent me a letter of administrative closure of my i485. if you have done interview, they are supposed to send it to you to let you know that they are holding on to your i485 till your case is terminated at the court.

you mean you are in removal proceedings and waiting for judge’s decision in order to get green card?

am in removal proceedings, I have done my i130 and i1485 interview with USCIS, I have filed for PD with ICE and waiting for case termination from court so I can move along with my i485 with USCIS.

I’m already done with my interview i130 mariage based and my i130 was approved on April 2021 last year

I applied my i485 with USCIS in 2017. was in removal proceedings. filed a motion with ICE in August 2021 and judge dismissed it in October.

now in January we sent judge’s decision to USCIS. still waiting for an update

@Baltiomore they didn’t check your passport at the interview or ask you all those security questions such as have you ever had criminal records, have you lied to get benefits, have you worked outside status , have you claim to be a US citizen. All those questions were asked for you or not ?

after you get the termination letter, you still need to do another interview when you request info pass to submit the letter in person with uscis? or that’s it?

are u sure? did your attorney say anything about that? I believe once the officer close ur I-485 and ask u to terminate the removal it should be done he would not close it if he did not open it and conduct the interview for it

Sam bek you are very correct. she closed mine saying till removal proceedings is terminated because she actually conducted an i485 interview for me. she sent me a letter as regards it and my i485 status shows interview was completed and case is meant to be reviewed based which was because of the removal proceedings.

after I get my letter closed i485 I supposed to file a motion to reopen to get my interview for my i485 to get green card

thank u Musky Baltimore: once u have the letter u call uscis for infopass and they will put u on hold for about 30 days then an office will call u to give u a date once u go to usics u pass them the letter and u leave that’s what other ppl said here

don’t send papers in mail bc u don’t know when this be done go as infopass in person and gave it to them it’s faster

when I called tell uscis my i485 closed I need a appointment

call this number : +1 (800) 375-5283 and say infopass then u will be on hold for about an hoise then u will talk to someone and ask u what u need. tell them I got my termination letter and I want to infopass to submit these letters

I’m already send my termination letter at uscis Texas service center and he received it now after receiving it the Texas service center tell me I’m gonna receive it a letter said may i485 closed after that he gonna process my green card

Sam bek! uscis already got my termination letter my lawyer sent it online and I was sending to on April 1rst last week me and my husband called uscis Texas service center the lady tell me next months I’m gonna receive a letter show me my case i485 closed and after that he gonna process my green card because my i485 still pending I’m supposed to wait for the letter coming from uscis case i485 closed first

@kk you supposed to send it directly and the adress you see and your receipt notices i485 . I send my on April 1rst via ups mail package express and uscis got it it’s gonna take 60 days to update

@kk your local field office can update your case you supposed to send your termination letter dismissal directly to Texas service center if you got a lawyer tell your lawyer to send it for you online it’s gonna be faster

how long it takes for you to get the termination letter?

it’s been automatically because I supposed to have a master hearing in February 25th in on February 1rts I see online there no future hearing for this case decision made February 16th

@balitimore which field office is your field office? I think it depends on state. I think Houston is 1 month.

@God is great yes my lawyer refile in March 28 and I got my ead the 6 of june

@God is great when I refile uscis give me back my old priority date from when I applied for my i130 which is 2019

@tas . my old I-485 is still pending. USCIS taking forever to review judge’s decision order. I refilled I-485 again in June. I’m going to get my biometrics done on July 26.

and also there was biometrics done for my old I-485 that was applied in 2017

@God they send me a letter with my receipt that they going to reuse my biometrics

once you get your biometrics done they will approve it

tas smith my field office is Baltimore but my i485 is in Texas since august 2021 is pending since the judge decision Texas never make decisions on my case now my case was assigned to a officer I’m waiting for a supervisor call to give me appointment to transfer my case at my field office

@Baltimore good they told me to call back in three months cause texas have 18 months to do something with my case and if they don't they will make appointment if needed best of luck to you

@tas did you have to close your first I-485 application to refile?

@God no my lawyer didn't both of them are open when I ask why she kept it open she told me nothing wrong with having both cases whichever one uscis get to first they will close the other
