I485 Approvals for EB1-3
#EB1 #EB1-3 I am monitoring the comments of 485 approvals for EB1 and EB1-3, but haven’t seen much or any at all for weeks. From comments of the community, seems the Sevice Centers are processing mostly family based applications, (my case is in Texas SC, but I am watching all) Does anyone know more have a clearer insight? Do you guys see movement?

I agree, I am waiting on eb2 and it’s been mainly family based for a couple of weeks
M SDec 11, 2021

Kim EDec 11, 2021
it’s weird bc USCIS says they’re prioritizing employment based. but doesn’t seem to be true?
L SDec 11, 2021
How do you know they are doing more family based instead of employment based? where can you see that? I am EB3 in TSC and still waiting…
A KDec 11, 2021
im in texas too eb3 case. more than 4 months ago I submitted my medical but heard nothing aftet that. i thought they were gonna approve it before October but no

NIW eb2 was approved less than 5 months. I believe they are doing both equally.

@L S, solely based on the comments from the community…

@Realler Boat can you share the timeline of your NIW? what was approved in 5 months the I-140 or the I-485?
R
Realler BoatDec 12, 2021
@JP my I140(NIW) took about 15 months to be approved from 23 March 2020 to 14th June 2021. I applied i485 on July 22 2021 and was approved on 6th December 2021.
Eleazar ODec 12, 2021
congrats @Realler Boat, it was quite quick!

@realler any idea how you got I-485 approved in such a short amount of time? I’m 12 months in
R
Realler BoatDec 12, 2021
@Kim I don't know maybe it's NIW or my current state NC

Realler BoatDec 13, 2021
@Kim what is your center or FO.
L SDec 13, 2021
My timeline is similar to Realler Boat. Except I submitted both i140 and i485 concurrently on Feb 2020. My i140 was approved on April 2021 but I am still waiting on my i485 approval (22 months and waiting…). So based on my observations: 1) People that don’t submit concurrently get faster approvals. And 2) If you filed between Jan 2020 - Oct 2020, you fall within the COVID months when the offices were closed for practically 6 months and they somehow forgot about our applications (since I see a lot of approvals happening for people that applied after Oct 2020).

@realler Texas service center. I’m 14 months waiting for I-485 to be approved
K
Kim EDec 13, 2021
@LS that sucks because my I-485 was submitted mid October 2020 😩😩 I submitted both same time too. yours has to be outside of normal processing times now, right?
L SDec 14, 2021
@Kim yes I’ve been waiting for almost 23 months. Processing time is 10-20 months. I submitted a Service Request and received a copy/paste answer just saying that my case was still in line to be processed. Which means nothing because everyone gets the same email response… I am trying to figure out what else can I do

M SJan 15, 2022
@kim e nope Iam India born applicant. I applied for i140 in 2017 for eb2 and then in 2020 for eb1. so if you take all this in account I have been in line for 5 years :)

yeah I got my first EAD quick last time. came January 2021. now we applied again in December
L SJan 25, 2022
Still nothing. I’ve been officially waiting for 24 months for my i485 to get approved. I requested help from the congressman about at the beginning of January 2022 since I had already been out of processing time for about 3 months. The Congressman sent a letter to USCIS on my behalf but so far I haven’t heard back. It supposedly takes about 30 days to get a response so hopefully soon.

well we lodged I131, I765, I140 and I485 concurrently on 10/29/2020 at Nebraska service center and still awaiting on I40 and I485. I131 got denied as we travelled and I765 got approved 01/26/2022.
