I485 application redraw
Hello everyone I'm back again to refresh everyone's memory, I brought my husband to the US on k1 got married then applied for 485 later realized that he only used me to come over here long short so this morning I saw on the website soon-to-be ex-husband who used me to come to US, his I-485 application to adjust of statute finally redrawn on March 18 2025 Immigration said they send redrawn notice on March 18-2025 to let us know the application will no longer process… I'm kinda happy but my question is can he reapply without my consent? Before he left the house he took the marriage certificate and a couple of Copy of my old driver's license and we are still married I haven't filed for divorce yet because he refused to sign. whats gonna happennow?

Since your husband’s I-485 application was withdrawn, his legal status is in question unless he finds another way to adjust. One possible route he might attempt is filing a VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) self-petition, claiming that you abused him. If you believe this is a false claim, here’s what you can do to protect yourself:
Steps to Follow
1. Stay Vigilant
• Monitor your personal information and any USCIS notifications.
• If you notice anything suspicious, contact USCIS and consider legal guidance.
2. Notify USCIS (if concerned about fraud)
• You can write a letter to USCIS explaining the nature of your marriage and that he may try to falsely claim abuse for immigration benefits.
• Clearly state that you were the one deceived and that he married you for a green card.
3. Gather Evidence to Counter False Claims
• Any text messages, emails, or social media posts showing his true intentions.
• Witness statements from friends, family, or neighbors who knew your relationship.
• Any evidence of his dishonesty or manipulative behavior (e.g., financial exploitation, sudden departure).
• If you ever felt unsafe or manipulated, keep a record of events.
4. Seek Legal Help
• Consult an immigration lawyer to ensure USCIS is aware of the real situation and to protect yourself from any potential false claims.
• If you are ready, you may also start divorce proceedings (even if he refuses to sign, many states allow unilateral divorce filings).
Bulletproof Arguments for USCIS
1. Marriage Fraud Concerns
• “My spouse misrepresented his intentions and used me for immigration benefits.”
• Provide examples of how he distanced himself emotionally or financially after gaining status.
2. No History of Abuse
• “At no point did I abuse or mistreat my spouse.”
• If applicable, show evidence of a peaceful relationship before he left.
3. His Sudden Departure & Suspicious Behavior
• “Before leaving, he took our marriage certificate and copies of my ID, possibly to fabricate a case.”
• This suggests he was preparing to manipulate the system.
4. Lack of Supporting Evidence for His Claims
• A VAWA petition requires police reports, medical records, or witness statements—if he has none, USCIS may deny it.
• If you were never investigated or reported for domestic violence, this weakens his case.
5. Timeline Inconsistencies
• If he only started claiming abuse after his I-485 was withdrawn, that’s a red flag.
• USCIS scrutinizes timing—if his VAWA claim comes only after losing his status, it looks opportunistic.
I know this is a lot, but I pray and hope it helps you.

he is not qualified for vawa because he has domestic violence case and got arrested 2 time and to files for vawa you have to have proof of violence such he is the one that was so violent and even go arrest 1 and got warrant from judge and got arrest again because he refused to go to court the first time the judge ask him to so he go warrant and $10.000 fine
