maybe if they have another application like I-485 familiar petition I-130 ! and after they aplay for vawa 🤷🏻‍♂️ m is me situation rn

That’s absolutely impossible, there’s always an application that 485 Is dependent on. It’s either they approve i130 and then approve 485, of they approved i360 then i485 etc. Even if you submit i130&485 and now file for vawa, they will put a hold on the 1st application

My lawyer told me What happened in his office. The person had been having a marriage affair for four years, had already done several things including an interview and had no response. The relationship became abusive and she filed a vawa and had the GC approved before the vawa

@Naya B it sounds like the approval was based on the original application and had nothing to do with the VAWA.

@Kerry S So I heard that the I485 process pauses when you apply the vawa and I didn't understand why they approved the I485 and the vawa still hasn't been approve

@Naya B don't look a gift horse in the mouth they say lol. If the I-485 was sent in with the I-360, they won't approve it until they approve the I-360, so it may be that there were other things going on with those applications
