i485 - J
Just curious, has anyone here filed for i485 - J more than once and had a problem with it? With the current VB, I don’t think i’ll be able to wait and would need to move to another job again. Management’s gone so bad with my current job I can’t take it! Just for context, I’m almost 2 years in at this job.
Any advice? Staying here honestly makes me crazy but at the same time, I’m thinking that I’m so close. I don’t want any problems. I’m already being paranoid enough since I filed for a i485 - J more than a year ago. My attorney told me to stay but staying has honestly been messing with my mental health. Idk what to do..

You don't need to file the 485J. You can keep a completed copy of it and present it if you get an interview or RFE

@Lin O im not sure who told you that! apparently you do! if they interview you or send you another job verification and you not employed you may jeopardize your case! USCIS does not care about your contract they want you currently employed!

@J . im not a lawyer but you have 100% right to quit your job and find another similar job and continue to work there! First thing first you need to prepare signed SupJ form your new eployer! No need to update USCIS! just keep it until they ask you to provide them!

@Ben Waltz so what is different from your last comment and mine? I'm confused

My opinion: if you already file one Sup J I would stay in this job. Lots of Interviews scheduled and the agents are looking into everything to confirm all the info. I think filling a new Sup J could raise more questions…
are you PD current?

@G S i don’t think they approve it. If I remember correctly, they just acknowledged that they received the i485-J

@Lily - like the flower No, It’s a month and a half before the priority date. And that’s what frustrates me.
