Our attorney submitted our I290B on the due date and USCIS didn’t receive it until 10/30/26. We finally rec’d a response 5 mths later stating it was denied for timely filing. Our lawyer was sent all the info on time but she kept coming back requesting information. I kept asking if this is going to out on time she said yes. Now she refuses to give us a discount but wants her money for being very disorganized and dishonesty. Now it’s either re-file or submit another reconsideration with proof as to why it was late. btw she was telling us that the law is incorrect it’s when it was mailed not received 😡😡😡

that's so messed up ..I think you meant 2025 ,right ? .
some of these lawyers can be a pain in the butt... I'm glad I didn't use one and got a family friend to do the paper works for us with a decent price and everything was correct and hot approved under 2 months ..
