I-140 needs to be approved first. I-485 will be on hold until I-140 is approved

my I-140 took 273 days and was approved in March 2021. so far my I-485 is at 471 days and still pending. I didn’t do premium processing. if they lawyer advises against then take their advice

I’m not sure it will speed things up that much as you have about 6 months or so to get through all the i485 processing and by this time the i140 should be approved or close to approval. I am with your lawyer in this that it probably won’t speed up the gc. just my opinion

thank you! yes, I’m seeing the nbc cases being approved pretty quickly, so thought what happens if 140 isn’t approved.

I wouldn’t do the premium. We are June 2020 filers (same category) and our 140 was approved in December 2020 already. We are waiting for the 485 since. There is a 99% chance, that the 140 will be approved by the time the 485 will even be looked at.

My i140 was oct 2020 and was approved in sept 2021 and now waiting for i485
