I applied for the tourist visa three months after my husband started the process for spouse visa. I was honest all the time, since I filled out my form until my interview, when they asked me why I want to travel to the United States instead of saying "for vacation", I said I want to visit my husband, and from the first filter they looked at me strangely, because I was supposed to have a pending petition, and they asked me more questions, as if trying to confuse and make me nervous, but I never told a single lie, I said that I just want to go visit my husband because we knew that the process would take many months, and we wanted Seeing each other again, like celebrate his birthday. I think that helped because I was always honest about my intentions to travel

I agree with above comment. my wife renewed her b1/b2 visa using a drop box. in the application we mentioned our pending i130 application number. mentioned the trip will be in July/aug 2024 for a month. Visa was renewed with no interview. pleas mention all the information honestly. all the best!
