i130 sponsor for spouse by a green. card holder
My wife is currently in USA on tourist visa. can we file 1485 once the Priority date on I130 becomes current? or do we have to wait for the I130 to get approved?

@Eliza Day we have not filed for 130. we just realized that the filing date is not Current. So I was wondering if i485 can be filed once the date becomes or current or if we have to wait for the approval of I130

you have to file the i130,i485,i765,i131. current date is when you file the petition for spousal greencard.

@U P it seems in black and white that you have not started any immigration process for your wife!

@Veee Octavian As I am not a US citizen but a green card holder, I don't have luxury for concurrent filing. also I was advised by my lawyer to file for i130 after 90 days of spouse's entry to usa

@U P you could have properly constructed your questions properly for us to get your substantive need. no need for bile or thorax.

why don't you keep to the words of your lawyer and stop asking incomplete questions to us??? personally I can't read your brains. I only reply to what is typed here

you need the 90 days for her to avoid the fact of misrepresentation when coming to USA

Once your priority date is current, you can file I-485, no need to wait for I-130 approval. But be careful not to get overstayed.
