i130 approved, no sign of i485 on USCIS portal?
I am a US citizen. My husband is from Peru and has lived in the US since 2003 and has been on DACA since it was created. We have a lawyer who filed i130 and i485 for us in March 2023. The i130 just got approved after a RFE in January 2024. However, the 485 hasn’t shown up on the USCIS portal nor was it associated with the case number when I started using Lawfully. They lawyer’s assistant said “we have to wait for the I-485 adjustment of status to be approved. we can’t provide you with an estimated time because USCIS has until January 29, 2025 to respond.” Can someone help me understand what this all means? Has USCIS started processing 485 or does the lack of inclusion in the portal indicate no one has looked at it yet?

you should still have a I485 receipt number if you filed concurrently . Check your receipts and enter online so you can follow up. Now if you never received a receipt for i485 nor does your lawyer provides you with one so you can look up your cases online yourself, I would raise an eyebrow.. I hope is not the case. i130 and i485 have their two separate numbers , make sure they provide that to you . Good luck
