my wife is LPR in USA, so my case F2A Spouse LPR, my priority date 20 December 2021, 2nd actively reviewing by 5 April, 17 months no approval yet 😔, can you share your priority date if you like thanks

I-130 can be approved, but I-485 will still be pending until Visa Bulletin says its current. I-130 and I-485 are two different things and I-485 is the one that will allow you to adjust status.

i thought that a LPR cannot file for I-485. or am I wrong?

@Juan G They can. Dates for Filling in Visa Bulletin are current now and were current since 2019. Final Action Dates are not. We filed for I-485 a year ago.

Thank you! everywhere I look it says only citizens can fill out the I-485 for their spouses. Since when can a LPR do that? where can I get that info?

@Juan G https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-of-green-card-holders-permanent-residents If your family member is already in the US, LPR can file I-485. My husband filed for me concurrently in 2022 both I-130 and I-485 when I was on student status.

the point is that, even the i485 cases get approved regularly in my category that is F2A while F2A is not current. i can see approvals in Lawfully App. How is it possible? Lawfully is fake or some people are exceptions?

@mo mass @Zuzanna Q I saw one friend F2A category whose i 130 and i 485 got approved last month. I was also surprised. I am in F2A now. my I 130 got approved yesterday and I 485 starus updated as Active review for the third time. my pd is 2021 Apr. do you thing they will update I-485 as well?

@j l Congratulations . most probably you will be approved by tomorrow. did you check the documents tab in your USCIS account for i485?

@mo mass I did. there is approved document for i130 but no approved document for i485. i am only worried whether i need to wait till visa bulletine final action date need to reach 2021 apr or not? because mine is F2A

@j l As I can see in lawfully app, you should be approved in one or two days like others. please let me know if you are approved tomorrow. wish you the green card soon in hand.

@Leonard Wehkamp not yet. i sent a request to upgrade the approve I130 to IR from F2A. hopefully that will work.
