I think they’ll review my case before Jan 7..
so here’s my theory. They actively reviewed my case for the second time on May 8.. they probably requested background at the time. My case last update in their system according to them is July 7. of course they didn’t tell me want happened. But, I think someone updated the babkgeound check info. Background checks are valid for six months. This means if it’s 6 months from July 7.. so that makes it before Jan 7… I hope so.. trying to stay positive.. so let’s test this theory.. you ask ask Emma the last time the case was updated. you can ask them for that date: that’s different from the active review date…

@april 2022 Same here with me. I have been pushing them very hard for the last several weeks. I did contact my congressman and Senator and Obusumban office as well.
I did hit my second anniversary on Nov 14 and Second anniversary of submission on Dec 6. I was told few days ago, that an officer reviewed my file on the Dec 6, 2023 and all they are doing now is doing some checks to reach a decison. My case has been actively reviewed since Feb 2023 after my interview.
So, your theory is 100% correct. Most likely we will see a change around Xmas or early next year. Godk luck and thanks for raising this. I too was planning doing a post about it in the next few days. Happy Friday!!

@april 2022, if my PD is on April 3,2023 when would it be likely to have background check maybe I’m at 9months in active review
