I received a social security number today that say “for work only with DHS authorization” anyone knows what’s the next? do I have to wait on something else before I could start applying for work?

as long as you have your EAD you should be fine. my SSN says that but if they need the authorization you can show the EAD.

just means you have to show your employer the SS card and your work authorization card. mine said the same , once i got my GC, i drag myself to SS office and it was removed via a new card with same nunber.

okay thanks it says 2 weeks on my application for the EAD so I guess I have to wait on that now
