I received a receipt notice with my PD and tracking for a paper-based application from Pakistan, but no update since. Should I consult a lawyer? What are the approx charges until visa response?
Update: 7 more months have passed but No change in application status at all.

there are a lot of people with 300+ days. some cases go fast, but some are delayed. the USCIS website shows the processing time. you only can submit an enquiry around 14 months after you lodged your application. best thing to do is: be patient. (I am experiencing the same issue and I know that it's annoying and unfair, but is the only option because it seems "normal")
