i need some advice
good morning y’all.when i filed vawa last year i was in NJ .I didn’t file the travel document.the lawyer i hired is in New York,i don’t talk to her anymore because she’s so rude.
I currently live in another state but I didn’t change my adress because my attorney is the one who will receive everything for me.,& i hired another attorney just to file my travel document for me.
now i want to contact my congressman to send an expedite request for my avance parole.
do i have to contact the congressman where i used to live in jersey or the one of the city where I ‘m currently living in?

@waiting gaaaamme from my understanding, you can’t have two representatives.
so idk if the other attorney only did the filing for you, and if he did what address did he/she put ?
you need to keep one address in the USCIS data to avoid any future complications or to end up not receiving your important mails.

I would contact the nj one, if yours is Melendez he has a great team that help with immigration cases. They helped me out with my advance parole !! Highly recommended

okay I understand.. but you don’t wanna cause any confusion for USCIS by having two addresses.
your I-131 is based on your previous filing for your vawa ( I-485/I-360/I-765 ) “ which is your first attorney address “
the worse scenario that might happen is your previous attorney will receive your advance parole.
