Hi Lawfully Fam,
I’m about to send in forms I-130 & I-485 for a family based green card for my mom. I just wanna know if there may be any documents I’m missing or would advice me to add before sending. I currently have:
1. I-130
2. I-485
3. I-864
4. Tax returns doc
5. my citizenship certificate
6. G-1145
Do I need any more docs? MY mom lives outside the US.
Thanks in advance!!

since your mom is not in US you don’t need I-485
per my understanding I-485 is for adjustment of status those living inside USA 🇺🇸

Really? So, just I-130?

Package should contain [Form G-1145, I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-693, I-864, I-944]
if you are looking to get an EAD and Advance parole document then I-765 and I-131 also needs to be filed
+ documents, evidence for each forms

The Beneficiary lives outside the US. Why do I still need I-485? And what will the I-130A be for, this’s for a parent and not a spouse. And what’s the need for a I-944 if you have an affidavit of support?
Thanks.

sorry , didn’t see your comments that your mom is not in USA.
Only file I-130 and relevant supporting documents which must include your US citizenship and your birth certificate.
You mom has to go thru counselor processing thru NVC, just a heads up ask her to try to get her birth certificate or unavailability of birth certificate from her home country!
Good luck
