ok if your I-130 is approved then your attorney can ask the court for a court date to be able to terminate your case and continue with your case. It could also be that your attorney might feel you don’t have a possibility of terminating your case with the court bit unless you terminate your immigration court case you can’t continue

im waiting for my I-130 to get approved but thankfully the immigration court closed my case because im not a priority so once my i130 is approved my attorney told me we can get my court case terminated and it would be as soon as i get approved

@ Tan tan I have been to court already in march 2023 but they adjourned they case to December 2023 now it postponed again till September 2024 . so I can not wait no more . i have a lawyer he reluctant to tarminate the case out of court . I paid all his money

@Elsa, I was in court in march this year I didn’t get my i1485approved bcos ice attorney have problem with my birth certificate , so not it’s fixed and the judge want me to come back in December 2023 now the case is postponed to 2024 September. I can’t wait no more I want to terminate and go back to uscis

yeah them just have your attorney be straight forward with you if they think you don’t have the possibility to terminate your court case sounds like he might have so reasons for it

@freeman 1 Tell your Lawyer to file a motion to terminate your Removal proceedings based on I-130 approval . it’s better to deal with uscis than the court

@bo Bo Iyou are right I been waiting for court since last year . I just told him to go ahead with uscis . did u get ur case approved

my lawyer said he will call the government cansel for joint motion what does that mean

@ bobo I regret not doing this since last year my i130 was approved I should have terminated the case by now I would have green card in hand but God knows best . it’s better later than never . we move………
