@Reza A.Thnak you . yes I checked API. I had 2 FTAO, one after biometrics in July and another in August. It switched to FTA 1 on 08/30, again on 09/12 and 10/16. Silent updates on 10/23 and 10/28. I asked Emma about the silent update on 10/24 but they did not respond.

What are API, FTAO and FTA1, in terms of meaning, and how does one check them? why didn’t you apply for EAD? H1B?

@Mrs Mrs . API helps you track how USCIS is working on your case. you need to be logged into your USCIS account. There are a lot of posts on it on Reddit. You can use the link below to check. Add your case number at the end. https://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/ your case number. I am on H1B so I did not apply for EAD.

@Kar (NIW) PD-Nov 2023’ . I apologize but that’s a bit sensitive and it depends on a couple of factors including your profession. I was very honest with my answers. I only put answers I could back up with evidence if needed. I did not get an RFE.

Congratulations. Does H1B cases process faster? or It is same for all EB2/NIW? I am in J1.

@Max M. Thanks. I don’t think there is any difference. I was also previously on a J1.

My case was received on June 5 and Biometric was completed on July 1st but no status changes after that. Latest updated in API was August 23 without event. Still waiting :(

@Max M, I know it can be frustrating but keep holding on, it will happen soon. As much as possible try not to monitor the API so closely. I made that mistake and it gave me so much anxiety.
