cos mine is the same as they applied my old bios and changed status to fingerprints to be taken..

Hello Jo. USCIS works in weird ways. I got my 1st EAD under pending asylum without a biometrics appointment. after i applied for my second EAD under the same category, I got my biometrics done. now, I'm at my 3rd EAD. my PD is April 2, and I haven't gotten my biometrics. for this year and last one, though, because of the pandemic they're reusing previous biometrics in certains cases. don't worry. you can get your stuffs from them without them scheduling you for biometrics, especially if you ever had those done before, even at any point of entry before. for instance, if you travelled here for other reasons under different categories (tourist visa, or any type of visas), then your biometrics are with the FBI already, as they're taken at points of entry, and that's what USCIS does with them besides puting them on your card. the bottom line is, don't worry, and don't compare your case to others. USCIS don't send biometrics appointments every single time, and every case is different. 🙂
