Hi Sean, I expedited on Friday…Did the case officer ask you to fax? mine said not to. I also didn’t receive an acknowledgment so I used Ask Emma and chatted with a customer care agent who confirmed my expedite request is in review.

no they don't inform you. I got ead approved in 7 days after I faxed in.

should I go ahead and fax? the person I spoke with said not to unless they make a request asking me to. I see most are approved when you fax in documentation. mine was based on a health issue and financial loss

it took about 9 days to get a response of receipt when I emailed my documents

you dont fax anything unless you received an email requesting you to send proof.

@sean sweeney it’s been almost a month I faxed the proof. waiting on approval. but few got the approval next day or in a week/two after faxing the documents. Good luck with yours.

What were your reasons to expedite? I’m interested in what they accept as urgent and important?

thank you all for your comments and help, I really appreciate it! I just find it crazy that some of these procedures such as expedition of I765 feel almost incomplete and outdated (using FAX and so on)

pat m, my reason for expedite is sever financial personal loss. I am the main provider of mine and my wife’s household as I work at a middle school. The processing time for the EAD should give matched up with my renewal of my job contract however it is over the posted time, therefore I have to expedite it as we would experience a financial loss of over 75% of our yearly income.

@sean sweeney hi I recently requested for expedited my EAD card as well. I called them couple days ago. They said I will receive information in email within 7 business days. how long did it take you to get the email from them? also do they always request for evidence/information? or they will make a decision based on info that they have on the system?

@Keep Waiting no they didn’t..I called on Monday to confirm and they said they can confirm my request was received and info will be sent within 7 business days and that no eveidence request has been sent out for this case.” Did you just file 6 days ago or you expedited 6 days ago?

@Pepertua A I filed couple days ago still waiting to hear back from them within the 7 business days. I was just curious bc some people didn't receive anything from them even after 7 business days.. my EAD will be expired soon and I'm like a bit freaking out haha When did you request for expedited? how long has it been?
