I had my asylum interview 4 months ago. They said I’d get a decision by mail in 2 weeks, but I haven’t received anything yet. What should I do now?
I attended my asylum interview three years after filing my application. During the interview, the officer told me that I would receive a decision within two weeks. Later, they mentioned that the decision would be mailed to me. However, it has now been four months, and I still haven’t received any response.
What should I do in this situation?

@dlovan k : Do you still live at the same address that you gave them? At the interview they made you sign a document saying that they'd send a decision at an address. Was that address accurate? Did you have a lawyer who assisted you with your case? If so, they more likely signed the G-28 form. And if they did, they would receive a copy of the decision. Though, they'd have shared it with you.

@dlovan k not to discourage but I’ve heard of some people that have been waiting for years for a decision after an interview. You can always file a mandamus if takes unreasonably long.

@dlovan k : Ok. When did you file for asylum? The answer is dependent on whether your lawyer can file mandamus on your behalf or not.
EB Okta is right. Many asylum seekers go years waiting for a decision after the interview has happened. But it doesn't mean that you should.

it’s good for you that more than 60 days the decision 99% says approval don’t worry about that.

Since our interview, the status had been "Application is pending."
Today, it changed to "Decision is pending."
Is there anything related to this?
