how was the Dallas office, nice officers?

It was full of people. We were a little late because of the rain but no one cared. Also my husband was in uniform and the security was fine with that and let him pass through the metal detectors without removing his boots (removing a part of your uniform is a big no no in the military). The vibe downstairs was quick and calm, but upstairs felt tense. like really tense. we only waited like 2 mins to be called and the lady was professionally friendly. We weren't asked too many questions in the beginning. she just asked us to tell her about our relationship, the how we met, dated, got married etc. We barely had photos which was a big source of anxiety for me since most youtube video couples said they submitted a ton 😳. We're just not the photo type, we like to live in the moment and memory. she then asked for joint documents, which we also kinda lacked, we had the basics lease, insurance etc but some bill companies didn't accept me without a ssn and I just got mine in May... so yeah. However some companies did accept me not having a ssn and we split the bills for our apartment (so same address but different name on bill). she then asked us to tell her a little about our day to day life. I'm a plant 🪴 mom so we talked a lot about them.

then she got a call about someone they were arresting... (in the building...and they needed some docs from her) that made us slightly uncomfortable. but she jumped back into her professional mask real fast and shot off a few random repeat questions. (I think to try and trip us up) but well we live together so that wasn't an issue.

she allowed us to basically free talk, butt into each other's sentences, correct dates that we may have jumbled and just talk about life. which was great. it worked for us. I'm not sure what would have happened if we got a strict person because my husband is horrible at dates and timelines and I'm bad at smaller details. She gave us to chance to take turns fleshing out life. so overall I think the vibe was nice but that's based on one officer out of what seems to be around 20-30. it's a spacious back office. with multiple officers going in and out

oh BTW to get around the lack of photos we submitted Google time-line match ups. I mean Google is gonna track us anyway so at least make it worth it. 🤷. so date nights, walks, trips etc we just lined up screen shots of out Google timelines for those days, she thought that was funny.

@Audriana, thank you so much for the details. I will have my interview there in few weeks. My husband doesn’t like pictures too. we have a few though, but mostly only is in them🤦‍♀️. I like pictures very much but he doesn’t like to be in almost all🤦‍♀️. we have been together for 4 years even before he became a citizen at thesame Dallas field office last year, I was there with him and forced him to take some pictures on such big day🤣. I pray we meet a kind person too. thank you again

I am in the same boat. Not a lot of pictures and the ones we have are mostly selfies of us two. 😟 I hope we find a nice or reasonable I.O.

@B K I have started grabbing and dragging him to pictures since my interview was scheduled 🤣. He told me they won’t look real, I told him leave that to the officer interviewing us 🤣

my in-laws panicked and scrambled to find pictures we were in. so the few photos we had were mainly of us passed out at family get togethers and of our backs 🙃. lol I usually change my hair style once a month so they'd know I only recently took those photos so we didn't even try. 🤣

@Ekun o I am going to start doing that too. 😂 I guess I still have time to get pictures. It’s just hard when both of you don’t like pictures. 😅

@clm, he had work right afterwards and I had a job interview so I was over dressed... my version of "business casual" seemed too dressy apparently
