I got approved without an interview
I just wanted to share with those who are still waiting or need some information about timelines.
I didn’t have any RFE, didn’t expedite and didn’t have any interview. Marriage based, Brooklyn filer with pd of March 11, 2021.
Good luck everyone! Wish you all to get approved and get your GC!

@ omar Thomas, no. we sent everything paper based. we added like 5-6 pictures of us. mostly selfies at home, bcs of covid.
AV BMar 1, 2022
@j y, we got married on October 2020, so were married for 5 months only when we filed.

@Dean Murdock, thanks! I sincerely wish you that! BTW, I know few more Brooklyn filers with pd in March and April 1st, they also were approved without any interviews! Good luck 🍀🙏

how did they get approved without interviews
I know my husband from March 2020 but we got married in June 2021 and filed in July 2021.
Sal SalMar 1, 2022
@AvB thanks. when did u go out of status and what was the documents you sent to support ur marriage? thanks
AV BMar 1, 2022
@a b, yes, I filed on March,11 of 2021.
Sal SalMar 1, 2022
@AVB can you share your supporting documents pls and when ur f1 expired? thanka
AV BMar 1, 2022
@jude Love, I filed in March 2021, and was studying my masters till June 2021. so I guess I wasn’t out of status when I filed. we filed concurrently all forms with documents with checklists for every form with docs. we sent the basic supporting documents, like joint account, joint health and life insurance(my hubby added me into his insurances), pictures, affidavits from our friends, driver licenses with the same address, Utility bills showing the same address (electricity, water, gas, internet)
Dean MurdockMar 1, 2022
@AV B u gives me lot of hope 😂😂😂😂
AV BMar 1, 2022
@jude Love, also I had 5 years student visa on my passport which will due on March 2022, but I guess as I didn’t file for OPT after graduation, my i-20 expired in July 2021. but as long as I filed for AOS I was fine. As long as I know you don’t have to retain your student visa or i-20 if you are married to US citizen. we did everything without lawyers, so I just made some research in reddit. I’m sure if you in status or out of status, doesn’t matter if you are married USC.
momo momoMar 1, 2022
@ AV B can you share the link for reddit I have heard about it
yemii mendyMar 1, 2022
congratulations
AV BMar 1, 2022
@a b, I couldn’t find exactly ways how I found it and I don’t have links… Try to browse the internet with questions how to file concurrently marriage based gc or should I stay on student visa while filing to the aos and etc.
